It goes without saying that it’s a tremendous honor to spend any amount of time talking with the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger. But there’s always something incredibly cool about getting to talk training with the greatest bodybuilder of all-time. To hear how he trained, why he trained, and how hard he trained is absolutely motivating and the unique thing is he developed a lot of his training concepts from scratch. What Will Happen if I do 100 Pushups a Day for 3 Months?

Image
Push Ups are simple, effective, and you can do them anywhere. They are an essential part of various workout programs and can be used for different goals. But you may have asked yourself - what would happen if you did a 100 Push Ups every day? Would you build muscle? Gain strength?  You get better at doing Push Ups Before you get excited - let's make it clearer - you'd get better at doing a 100 Push Ups. That's pretty much it. Don't expect to magically be able to do One Arm Push Ups or something like that. A 100 Push Ups is not a lot, especially when you divide it into sets. However, if you can't do it yet, well then, you'd get stronger. But if you already can do a 100 Push Ups, even in a couple of sets, then it's not much of a benefit. Why is that so? Our bodies are very adaptive. Once you regularly expose your muscles to the same type of stress, they get used to it and stop growing bigger and stronger. More than 30 reps of Push Ups per set won't get you...

Dumbbell Abs Best Workout For A Solid Core

Image
I like trying out new ways to train my core and that is how I stumbled upon dumbbell ab workouts. I did dumbbell side bend before (and kettlebell ones), but I had not thought there are so many activities I can do with this fitness equipment. I have included some more abdominal exercises using weights into my routine and I have to say it was a good decision as these sorts of movements work the abdominal muscles efficiently. Besides, the resistance can be tweaked quickly by using less or more weights. Did you know that using weights for abs building helps to define the muscles and pop out more? If you have not done any dumbbell exercises for abs before, please, let me give you some advice first.     If you are a beginner, I do not recommend doing these ones yet because they require a strong core and you may end up with injuries. Spend time with doing various body weight core training first until you gain the strength.     It is crucial to perform the movement...

Best Chest Workout For Beginning Bodybuilders

Image
Most athletes new to lifting focus on the chest. After all, that’s the most time-efficient way to look stronger and more muscular, whether you're in a form-fitting T-shirt or shirtless. And while there are plenty of other muscle groups that will create that "dominant" physique, like back and shoulders, there’s no doubt that a strong, V-shaped torso with sculpted pecs is the foundation for a chiseled physique. Many lifters find the chest easier to train than other areas because just about any exercise where you grab a weight or a bar works the chest, at least to some degree. Even on days where there’s more of an emphasis on back, shoulders, biceps—even legs—your chest comes along for the ride. The popularity of “core” training in the last 15 years has placed more of an emphasis on chest exercises that mimic the movements of sport or everyday life. But guess what? Most any pulling or pushing does just that. However you define the core, it includes the chest. Some exercise...
